Projecting missiles is as old as humanity. Long before barbells were invented, humans slung various weighted objects to prepare for hunting and war. From tossing the caber to throwing the shot, discus and hammer, these events all hark back to the warrior training of ancient times. It seems ironic, then, that this type of "primitive" yet pure ballistic training doesn’t feature more heavily in the weightroom-centric world of modern S&C.
