For many track & field events, biomechanical analysis easily reveals the key performance determinant.
This process starts with prioritizing the components of a movement. For a given movement, what is the key moment or limiting step? What leads up to that key moment or step? What factors unique to the individual athlete do we need to consider? The answers point towards the key phase of the movement and allows us to decide how we can enhance force application, orientation, direction or redirection of force, and in what durations these need to occur.
