Edward Gannon, PhD, is a high-performance coach, educator, and performance leader with 20 years of experience across professional team sports in the UK and USA. He is currently Clinical Assistant Professor and Clinical Director of Strength and Conditioning at the University at Buffalo, where he teaches postgraduate performance science and coach education. Previously, he served as Director of Physical Performance and Head Strength Coach for the Buffalo Sabres and Rochester Americans (NHL/AHL), and has held lead strength and conditioning roles in professional rugby in the UK. His work focuses on building integrated, science-driven performance systems that support athlete development, readiness, and in-season injury risk management in high-pressure competitive environments.
