Presentation description
Anders’s presentation explores the implementation of a “strength” every day microdosing model within a professional football environment. Anders outlines the rationale, design, and practical application of distributing strength and power training across multiple short daily sessions rather than relying on traditional high-volume gym sessions. The presentation examines how microdosing can improve training quality, reduce fatigue and soreness, enhance player development, and better integrate physical preparation with football performance demands.
Learning objectives
- Understand the theoretical and practical rationale behind strength-training microdosing in elite football.
- Evaluate how daily microdosed gym sessions can influence fatigue management, adaptation, and performance outcomes.
- Analyze the programming principles used to individualise strength, hypertrophy, power, and injury-prevention strategies within a professional football setting.
About the presenter
Anders is the Head of Physical Performance at FC Nordsjælland and has worked with the first team for the past five years, following earlier roles within the academy. The club is part of the Right to Dream organisation, a multicultural development environment with academies in Denmark, Ghana, Egypt, and San Diego (USA), and is widely recognised for developing and transitioning talent into professional football. His work is strongly shaped by a long-term development mindset, even within the demands of first-team football. Anders has played a key role in advancing a more scientific approach to physical preparation within the organisation, with a particular focus on gym-based training to develop fast, forceful, and robust players. Anders also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science and a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Copenhagen, with a strong academic focus on anaerobic training and high-intensity interval training (HIIT), principles which he applies extensively in daily practice.
