Presentation description
Hamstring injury mitigation in the NFL requires more than simply prescribing the right exercises. Jon Hernandez explores how integrated team strategies, including high-speed running, eccentric overload, load acclimation, education and effective communication, can build tissue capacity and reduce injury risk across the demands of an NFL season.
Learning objectives
- Identify the key physical and environmental factors contributing to hamstring injury risk across an NFL season.
- Develop practical strategies for tissue preparedness through high-speed exposure, eccentric overload and progressive load management.
- Understand how communication, education and player buy-in influence the successful implementation of injury mitigation strategies.
