Presentation description
Effective load monitoring is far more than collecting GPS metrics or counting minutes. This presentation explores how practitioners can build intentional, systematic external load monitoring systems that drive meaningful decision-making by combining contextual data, shared terminology, and sport-specific insights to optimise both athlete health and performance.
Learning objectives
- Understand how multidimensional external load monitoring can improve decision-making in high-performance environments.
- Evaluate the importance of context, metadata, and operational definitions when monitoring athlete workloads.
- Apply systematic monitoring principles to balance health, performance, and individual athlete needs.
