Dr. Steve Short enters his 12th season with the Denver Nuggets, currently serving as the Vice President of Sports Medicine and Allied Practice. Steve’s role is to lead the medical and evidence-based practice of the Nuggets, while ensuring the integration and optimization of the High-Performance Department initiatives. He received his doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Dayton and a dual degree in exercise science and biology, a minor in psychology and a certificate in coaching from Michigan Tech University. Advanced qualifications include a Fellowship in Manual Orthopedic Physical Therapy, dual Board Specialty Certifications in Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy, and NSCA certifications in strength and conditioning and sports science. He is an Accredited High-Performance Manager, with a passion on serving and maximizing the health and performance of all of those he encounters.
