Simone is a rehabilitation specialist currently working with the Women’s First Team at A.C. Milan, where he oversees strength, power, and rehabilitation training for professional athletes, with a primary focus on return-to-play (RTP) protocols. Primarily, Simone guides athletes through late-stage rehabilitation, managing injuries such as knee, ankle, hamstring, groin, and lower back pain – utiliising advanced performance monitoring tools, including the Vald Performance System, to track athlete readiness and optimize training loads. In addition to his work with A.C. Milan, he has provided high-level strength and conditioning services to professional Serie A/B/C players, designing personalised training programs to enhance strength, speed, conditioning, and recovery. Simone also serves as the Head of Late-Stage Rehabilitation and Performance at Quality Sport Rehab, where he integrates sport-specific rehabilitation and reconditioning for athletes aiming to return to peak performance. Throughout his career, Simone has had the privilege of working with a diverse range of athletes, from professional players to NCAA Division I athletes at the University of Louisville, where he gained experience with Olympic sports. Simone’s background in football as a former semi-professional player also provides him with unique insight into the athlete’s perspective, further enriching his coaching and rehabilitation approach. His academic background includes a Master’s degree in Health and Physical Activity from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, where he also completed a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science. Additionally, Simone has gained international experience through internships and courses in both the United States and the United Kingdom, further expanding his knowledge in strength and conditioning, performance monitoring, and injury rehabilitation.
