Craig is a First Team Strength & Conditioning Coach at Newcastle United Football Club, bringing over a decade of experience in elite athlete development. A CASES High Performance and UKSCA Accredited practitioner, Craig has spent the past two years leading the physical development programme for the club’s Men’s First Team Goalkeepers. He has also collaborated with the Goalkeeping department to design and implement a comprehensive physical development framework tailored specifically for goalkeepers. His work has also integrated closely with the medical department and external consultants, resulting in the creation and implementation of a specialised upper body monitoring and training framework. Prior to his current role, Craig dedicated 11 years to Newcastle United’s Academy, where he played a pivotal role in supporting young talent through evidence-based strength and conditioning practices. He holds a Master’s degree in Strength and Conditioning and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Birmingham, further deepening his expertise in high-performance sport.
