Alan is an accredited sport and exercise scientist and Fellow of the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences; Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Academy of Sport and Physical Activity Taught Research Ethics Lead, and Laboratory Director for the Sport and Physical Activity Research Centre. He has provided physiological support for Olympians, Paralympians, World, Commonwealth, European and British champions in a range of sports from wheelchair fencing to professional boxing and have co-authored over 30 scientific manuscripts.
