As a Minor League Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for providing rehabilitation services, injury prevention programs, and recovery strategies for Minor League players. This role involves working closely with athletic trainers, team physicians, and strength and conditioning staff to optimize player health and performance. An interprofessional collaborative spirit, effective multidiscipline communication, relationship building through a foundation of trust, and a player-centered approach to healthcare  are essential for success in this position. 

Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs for injured players.
  • Perform movement assessments and corrective exercise programming to prevent injuries.
  • Work collaboratively with athletic trainers, team physicians, and performance staff.
  • Utilize manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities to enhance recovery.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with MLB and team health protocols.
  • Educate players on best practices for recovery, mobility, and injury prevention.
  • Assist with on-field and athletic training room support before, during, and after games.
  • Report injury updates and rehabilitation progress to the Assistant Director of Athletic Training and Rehabilitation.
