Ioannis Stathas has been the Head Physiotherapist at PAE OFI’s Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department since July 2022, specializing in sports injuries, therapeutic exercise, and functional rehabilitation. He has extensive experience working with professional athletes across football, basketball, and handball, including a six-year tenure at AEK F.C. He holds a Master’s degree in Therapeutic Exercise from the University of Patras, with a thesis on functional rehabilitation for professional soccer players.

Ioannis has completed advanced training in sports physiotherapy (IFSPT), manual therapy, BFR training, and rehabilitation techniques through programs such as the Barca Innovation Hub. He also holds the FIFA Football Medicine diploma and is a member of the Panhellenic Association of Physiotherapists (PSF) and the Hellenic Scientific Society of Physiotherapy (EEEF).

A frequent speaker and organizer at conferences, Ioannis has presented on topics like ACL rehab and advanced injury recovery, collaborating with experts from Barcelona FC, PSG, and PSV Eindhoven. He has also conducted research on balance differences between football and basketball athletes and continues to engage in professional development and knowledge sharing within the field.
