Guillem initially studied Sports Science in Barcelona, completing further research in order to gain both a Master’s degree in Elite Performance in Team Sports and another in Sports Science Research. He entered the professional rugby world through an internship with Spain’s Women’s 7’s National Team in 2021. Following that, Guillem received a job offer from El Salvador Rugby Club, where he has currently worked with the team for two seasons. He works as an S&C coach for both the men’s and women’s teams, specializing in strength development, injury prevention, and tailored conditioning programs. Last year, Guillem also served as the Backs Coach for the women’s team. His primary interests revolve around enhancing player strength, focusing particularly on the unique demands of rugby. In addition, Guillem leverages R and Python to manage GPS and internal load data, integrating these insights into player performance analysis. Guillem’s work relies on the combination of evidence-based strength training and data-driven performance analysis, providing unique insights which are key to advancing player and game development.
