David Martinez-Hernandez is a physical performance coach who has worked for over a decade in football, currently the lead of sports science at Newcastle United Women FC. He is in the last stages of a PhD at the University of Salford that focuses on the enhancement of change of direction performance in professional football, having published several peer-reviewed articles in this process related to change of direction actions and movements performed during goal as well as flywheel training.
