Darcy Norman

Darcy Norman is the Director of Player Wellness & Physical Performance for Chicago Fire FC and has spent more than 20 years working in human performance, rehabilitation, and sport science across elite sport. With degrees in Physical Therapy, Kinesiology, and Biology, he has built his career around helping athletes and teams perform at a high level through collaboration, clear process, and continual improvement. Over the past decade, his work has centered on building performance systems, applying data in practical ways, and leading multidisciplinary teams across medical, rehab, fitness, nutrition, psychology, and sport science. His experience spans professional soccer, international football, cycling, and performance consulting, with roles at organizations including FC Bayern Munich, AS Roma, EXOS, Athletes’ Performance, and with both the German and U.S. Men’s National Teams. Along the way, he has supported environments competing on some of sport’s biggest stages, including FIFA World Cups, the UEFA Champions League, Copa América, the Gold Cup, and Nations League campaigns. Known for connecting performance science with the realities of daily practice, Darcy brings a thoughtful and integrated perspective to athlete care, team performance, and long-term development.
