Dan is a Senior Lecturer in Applied Sport Science within the Department of Sport and Physical Activity at Edge Hill University and Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the University of Newcastle, Australia. He has previously worked in professional rugby league as a sport scientist for over 10 years. He currently mentors several research-practitioners embedded within professional sports organisations across the rugby codes and professional football. He has published over 70 research articles focusing on the measurement and modelling of exercise exposures (and outcomes) in team sports using different wearable technology signals. He is interested in how these can help to improve decision making processes within athlete health and development.
