Phil Scott

Phil has spent 15 years in elite sport, most of it with the England and Wales Cricket Board. He joined as England team strength and conditioning coach in 2014, stayed in the role for eight years, then moved into the pathway lead position, where his remit widened from preparing international players to shaping how physical preparation was delivered across the system.

Before cricket at that level, he worked across tennis with the Wales LTA, university sport at Swansea, and county academy environments at Glamorgan, Middlesex and Surrey. He holds an MSc in Strength and Conditioning from Middlesex and an MPhil from Swansea, where he researched neuromuscular and muscle damage responses to international rugby sevens.

He now consults independently and works with England Netball and 292 Performance. His work is built on clear planning, consistent execution, and an understanding of what athletes actually need day to day rather than what looks good on a programme.
