Will Currie is currently the Head of Sports Science at Celtic Football Club. He studied at the University of Glasgow, where I completed a BSc (Hons) and an MSc by Research in Physiology & Sports Science. His MSc research was carried out in collaboration with the Academy at Rangers Football Club. Will joined Celtic in 2016, initially starting as an intern before being offered a full-time position after six months. Since then, he has progressed through several roles at the club, moving from First Team Sports Scientist to his current position as Head of Sports Science. His day-to-day work focuses on using performance data, training load monitoring, and nutrition strategies to optimise player availability and physical performance.
