Scott is an Accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach with 12 years of experience working in Cricket. He is currently the National Men’s Performance Pathway Strength and Conditioning Lead with Cricket Scotland. Scott is a practitioner with a strong academic background. Scott has a Masters by Research which “Exploring adolescent fast bowling: a mixed methods approach.” He continues to research the adolescent fast bowlers, specifically, the transfer of physical qualities to the ball release speed. During his time with the Cricket Scotland Academy and their franchises he has developed long-term development plans, fitness assessments, including growth-maturation screening, movement screening for the under 15’s, under 17’s, under 19’s and 19+. Additionally, Scott plans and delivers age-appropriate gym-based sessions, speed, agility, plyometric sessions and conditioning sessions on a daily/weekly basis and attended match days throughout Scotland. Scott also led on physical preparation pre and during two U19 Cricket World Cups (Caribbean and South Africa), which included acclimation preparation in the environmental chamber, nutritional support and recovery.
