Pippa Woolven is the founder of Project RED‑S, a pioneering initiative dedicated to raising awareness of Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (REDs) and empowering athletes to pursue health-centered, sustainable performance. A former elite steeplechase and cross-country runner for Team GB, competing in both the UK and the NCAA in the US, Pippa’s own battle with RED‑S sparked her mission to support others facing similar challenges. With a background in psychology and a qualification as a Positive Psychology Coach (MSc), she blends personal insight with professional expertise. Under her leadership, Project RED‑S collaborates with medical specialists, coaches, and athlete ambassadors to deliver educational content, toolkits, and support pathways focused on prevention, early recognition, and recovery from REDs. A mother and mentor, she remains a vocal advocate for athletes of all levels to maintain balance between performance and long‑term wellbeing.
