Sam O’Leary is the Senior Associate Athletic Trainer and Rehab Technology Coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers, where he plays a vital role in the prevention, evaluation, and management of player injuries. Since joining the Chargers organization in 2016, O’Leary has advanced from seasonal intern to assistant athletic trainer, and now into his existing role within the medical staff. In his current position, he oversees rehabilitation programs for both acute and long-term conditions while integrating cutting-edge performance technologies such as GPS monitoring, isometric strength testing, and movement screening to optimize athlete recovery and performance. O’Leary holds a Master of Science in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Washington State University. His passion lies in combining clinical expertise with innovative technology to support player health, safety, and peak performance.
