João is currently the Head of Performance at Rosenborg BK, where he bringx a multidisciplinary background in Sports Physiotherapy and Strength & Conditioning to High Performance Sport. He has previously held roles across diverse systems, including Racing Strasbourg (Ligue 1), Al Riyadh (SPL), the Portuguese Gymnastics Federation, the Olympic Committee of Portugal, and multiple club environments. With experience spanning football, gymnastics, and rugby, João developed a performance methodology that’s adaptable, evidence-informed, and context-specific—integrating leadership, coaching, sport science, and sports medicine. His focus is on applied performance impact, long-term athlete development, and building strategic frameworks that support sustainable high performance.
